Comprehensive Eye Exams

Optometrist performing eye examFrontier Eye Care’s eye doctor, optometrist Doug Hodgson performs a thorough, comprehensive vision assesment and eye exam to ensure you have comfortable, efficient, and clear vision.  Our vision and eye health examinations will also ensure that your vision is the best possible for years to come.

Frontier Eye Care’s eye exams include:

  • All-Digital Refraction (Vision assessment)
  • Eye Coordination
  • Depth Perception
  • Peripheral Vision
  • Color Vision
  • 3 Checks for Glaucoma (Eye Pressure, Visual Field, and Optic Nerve Evaluation)
  • Cataract Evaluation
  • Retinal and Macular Evaluation

Digital retinal photographs of internal eye structures are taken as needed.

Yearly eye exams are recommended for patients wearing glasses or contact lenses.  Adults with normal healthy eyes may be seen every two to three years.  Dilated eye exams are essential for people with diabetes, glaucoma, and many other eye conditions.  Children should have their eyes checked before entering kindergarten; or sooner, during infancy if you suspect something is wrong or there is a family history of eye problems.  We provide a screening eye exam for amblyopia (“lazy eye”) for infants as young as 6 months.

Protect your eyesight and prevent complications! Have your eyes checked regularly.
